Quotes From Women

Reading quotes is always fun, so I decided to put a few from some famous women on here:

Do not put such unlimited power in the hands of the husbands. Remember all men would be tyrants if they could.- Abigail Adams

I am not afraid of storms, for I am learning to sail my ship.- Louisa May Alcott

You are not in business to be popular.- Kirstie Alley

As long as you keep a person down, some part of you has to be down there to hold him, so it means you cannot soar as you otherwise might.-  Marian Anderson

I would rather die a meaningful death, then live a meaningless life.- Corazon Aquino

Do not do what you would undo if caught.- Leah Arendt

I do not want people to be agreeable, as it saves me the trouble of liking them.- Jane Austen

The secret of getting ahead is getting started.- Sally Berger

Ignorance is Bliss

Hi everyone, I am a freelance writer, and mother of four. I stay busy almost every second of everyday. If I am not writing, then I am reading. Reading posts, reading job opportunities, very rarely reading for purely the entertainment value. When I was a kid, you couldn't pry me loose from a good book. Now it seems that there are never enough hours in the day to do what we really like to do. It is always what we need to do, or what we have to do. I remember when I was a child, that I couldn't wait to grow up. Now I wish that I could just stop time and relax, and do all the things that I don't get to do anymore. It's a nice daydream, but reality always sneaks up behind me and bites me on the rear! Some parts of being an adult with all this responsibility really blows. But I had my time as a child, even if it wasn't what you would call a good childhood. It was a childhood none the less. At least I can kind of live vicariously through my children, and harness their youth and excitement of the world, that has yet to be jaded and resented. In some cases, ignorance is bliss.
