Ignorance is Bliss
Hi everyone, I am a freelance writer, and mother of four. I stay busy almost every second of everyday. If I am not writing, then I am reading. Reading posts, reading job opportunities, very rarely reading for purely the entertainment value. When I was a kid, you couldn't pry me loose from a good book. Now it seems that there are never enough hours in the day to do what we really like to do. It is always what we need to do, or what we have to do. I remember when I was a child, that I couldn't wait to grow up. Now I wish that I could just stop time and relax, and do all the things that I don't get to do anymore. It's a nice daydream, but reality always sneaks up behind me and bites me on the rear! Some parts of being an adult with all this responsibility really blows. But I had my time as a child, even if it wasn't what you would call a good childhood. It was a childhood none the less. At least I can kind of live vicariously through my children, and harness their youth and excitement of the world, that has yet to be jaded and resented. In some cases, ignorance is bliss.
